Had my flexi yesterday and 2 small tumours found that can be burnt out. So bad news but could have been so much worse.

Hospital staff brilliant as usual, and so pleased cancer treatments are catching up.

Await op appointment now which usually means overnight stay as blood pressure goes haywire after each op I have had.

If its just diathermy needed then it can be done as a flexi. I've had a few small ones removed that way.

Thanks Mugwump I asked that but told it would be with GA

Yes, I had two small tumours burnt away and had GA, thank goodness! I’m a wimp and wouldn’t have wanted it done as a flexi.

Me too Lucy, I would have a GA for a flexi if I could

I likened diathermy during a flexi to when you put a 9V battery on your tongue. Unfortunately you don't get to decide when it stops and can be quite painful as the consultant gets carried away with what he/she is doing.
