Mum just diagnosed feel heartbroken

Hello and welcome to the community, although sorry to hear about your mum. It must be really hard for you not being able to see her. Have they given mum any idea on what treatment they have planned? Best wishes.

we have only been told to await a oncology appointment  but the impression I got  is if she wants to be put through treatment! which makes me think it’s likely to go towards palliative.

We are still waiting for the Doctor to speak to us directly.  We all just want her home and she is desperate to get out of hospital 

So sorry such a terrible time for you .. ii hope she will be able to leave hospital and come home soon she needs to be feeling safe around her loved ones ..my mother was in hospital for a week we werent allowed to see her she must have been so afraid on her own with nobody she knew ..she had a cardiac arrest last night and passed away before we could get there ..so sad for everyone concerned the only consolation for me is she no longer has to live with the torment of alzeimers she had xx   I hope things work out for you it is very hard for you xx covid has caused so much heartache for so many people  take care sending you love xx

Thank you I think she may be home today/tomorrow.  Then the next stage of palliative care begins.  Very scary to think about this.  X

So sorry to hear about your mum.  It’s so cruel that we can’t be with them at the moment in there most needy time.  Mums are everything and you think you will never lose them.
