Does anyone know anything about nhs sick pay?
does the full pay reset if you go off sick again?

  • Hi AsLu24

Have you got a copy of your contract of employment it should say in that. Xx

  • Yeah I’ve done that but it only says what the overall is, I’ve been off for 3 months full pay when I was having treatment. Been bacK to work 3 months now and I think I need some more time off but I not sure if I’ll get anymore sick pay GrimacingGrimacingGrimacingGrimacing that what I’m asking really

  • Hi AsLu,

It’s been quite some time since I worked for the NHS but employees used to be entitled to 6 months full pay and 6 months half pay so I believe that you would be entitled to a further 3 months full pay.
I hope you are able to take the time you need to recover . Xx

  • Hi,

how long have you worked for the trust? I have been off since July. My full pay came to an end on Nov 1st. This was due to having 2 episodes of sickness the previous year which carried over during this episode. Half pay stops April 1st. Therefore, I will have to return to work ready or not. I’m guessing you would get pay however, the time you were off during treatment will be classed as an episode therefore not sure how long you would receive full pay for? Does all this make sense? It’s rather complicated. Hope you get it sorted x

  • Hi

    • thank you for the reply, I was about to go down to half pay a week before I returned to work.
Im not sure if it resets for a new episode?
