So today (21st March) was Anal Cancer Awareness Day! Was anyone aware?
I'm okay thanks Irene - well muddling along! I'd just like those in the know to acknowledge that awareness might go a long way in helping to identify the risk factors. We can live in hope... . And how are you doing at the moment? xx
I'm fine - lurching from one scan to the next!
I completely agree about awareness; how i wish that the risk factors were recognised years ago with me, I had them quite a few. Sadly my own daughters missed out on the vaccine but they have certainly learned seeing me.
It's lovely to see you on here again!
Irene xx
I hope you can stay on top of this wretched disease, Irene - and yes, if only we had known about the risk factors when we all were young. So many lives could have been saved (not to mention the expense of treatment) xx
As an update to this, I got a response last night from the guy above (journalist, producer, documentary maker) saying he would take a look into this in the summer when he will be less busy) so hopefully he will follow through. A bit late for us, but hopefully he can raise awareness in the future.
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
We’re here to provide physical, financial and emotional support.
