Hello
I was diagnosed with "most likely" cancer at my colonoscopy on 19 October 2024! The scans confirmed that it was anal cancer - stage 3 and had spread to lymph nodes in my pelvis and groin.
I started the standard treatment on 9 December (chemo/radiotherapy) for 28 days over five and half weeks, finishing on 19 January!
I had my PET-CT scan on 19 April and today I've been informed that I am cancer free!
I am so unbelievably grateful for this community - before, during and after! I'm going to get busy living and loving life - so I'm sharing today as I think we all need some hope!
I'm rooting and tooting for you all
Lots of love and luck to us all xx
That’s brilliant news, and so happy for you!
You went through quite a journey and were so helpful in sharing your experiences and tips.
Onwards and upwards for you now. All best wishes for a great summer…and future. xx
That is truly amazing! congratulations.... you must feel so relieved.
I also have stage 3 with lymph nodes and spread into muscle/fat and into vulva, so it's really encouraging to hear you've beaten it. I hope I can too!
