Hi everyone
so off we went to Preston this morning I had absolutely no sleep last night even from my new tablets !! So ... I have a rogue lymph node situated in my abdomen near my back which is too high up and to far away for radiotherapy!!! So they have changed my treatment plan to chemotherapy with the hope of blitzing the rogue shrinking the rest and then if needed radiotherapy! Not ideal but still a plan of action ... plan B!! It’s still a better outcome than I’d anticipated. And at least they found it now !!!! Feeling optimistic Xxxxxx
Hi I’m so glad this has been sorted out, what a worrying time for you. These last minute changes to treatment plans are unfortunately what happens sometimes. Anyway it’s good that this rogue lymph node was spotted and can be included in your treatment plan. Will you still be able to start on Monday as originally planned ? Bev xx
Hi ,
I’m pleased you’re still going to be starting this week & although it’s a slightly different treatment plan to what you were expecting as long as it does the job! I’m really not surprised that you didn’t sleep last night, I thought of you as soon as I woke up this morning…. As both you & 1in1500 have said it’s good that it was spotted now & is being incorporated into your treatment from day 1.
Nicola
