Hiya, has anyone tried these seats after pelvic radiotherapy?  I have bookd a consultation to see if it is worth it, mainly to supplement pelvic floor exercises and to hope to ward off future late developing bladder incontinence.  I had to fill in a questionnaire which has got me thinking...so there is a chance of bleeding in post menopausal women, mild diarrhoea, you mau not even notice any difference, risks of complications or injury from both known and unknown causes...can you see why I am changing my mind....

I am here to ask if anyone has had any of the ultra Tesla seat treatment?  My daughter said just get a vibration board, seems they help pelvic floor AND oedema, 2 birds, 1 stone ... no side effects....anyone got any info?

My treatment ended mid Nov, i am trying so hard with pelvic floor exercises ...

Thanks

Ann

  • Hi  It's not something I've ever heard of, I had a quick Google and personally I would be sceptical as to if it actually works. Kind of reminds me of those ab stimulators or toning tables from back in the day neither of which did much. Would be interesting to know though, hopefully someone may have some info. With regards to the questionnaire it's probably quite standard they have to cover themselves. I have heard that rebounding is good and no side affects. Xx

  • Thank you, I have tried rebounding but it made me motion sick!  I will be trying again though.

  • Hello

I had a very quick look online and all of the sites with the best reviews for the treatment were private clinics - like Bungle I am always suspicious when being sold a service.  Then I found a medical paper https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC9145499/ much of which is above my paygrade, however this says it does work in 'some' cases.  However, key to this is that the treatment has to be an ongoing thing to maintain improvement.

A huge well done for carrying on with the pelvic floor exercises - I remember being told that they can be done anywhere and at any time, but I always forget!

Sorry I haven't been much help.

    Irene xx

  • Hi Ann ( ),

I haven’t in my time here (8 years) heard mention the Tesla Ultra Seat Treatment & following a quick read I too would be a bit sceptical.

Some local health authorities have a bladder & bowel service, try & find out if there’s one in your area & air your concerns to them they may be able to offer some advice. I got the information about the service in my area from a nurse at my GP practice.
