Hello Everyone,
The next gathering in the UK for ACC patients and carers will be on Saturday May 18th 2019 in London from 10.00am to 4.30pm.
We are still finalising the details of the day but as always, it will include meeting other patients and carers and hearing their stories, being updated on the latest ACC research by Dr Metcalf and the ACCRF and have opportunities for you to get involved in the latest UK initiatives.  We will be having it close to Euston / Kings Cross so very central.
If you are interested in attending, please let me know.
For those in the UK that need some help in affording the travel, there are a limited amount of small travel grants available through Salivary Gland Cancer UK.  Please email me directly for further details.
Take care and all the best,
Emma

    Hello Shane,

I am very sorry to hear of your diagnosis and treatment.

I've sent you a friend request. If you can reply and let me know your email address then I will add you to the list and send  you all the details.  you will have to send me a private message as Macmillan do not allow us to share email addresses in a public forum for our safety.

    Hello  All

I was wondering if anyone has used LDN and CBD together for ACC?

Has anyone seen the study on how a patient went into remission when on LDN ?

    Regards

    Vick

  • Hi Vick

Here is a useful thing from Cancer Research UK:

    https://www.cancerresearchuk.org/about-cancer/cancer-chat/thread/ldn-and-cbd-interaction#post-586286

I am trying CBD, on the suggestion of a medic friend, to try to help with an intractable headache I've had since December. The pain seems to be muscle tension from my thoracotomy scar area on my back, rising up my neck and causing stiffness and headache.

After a week of CBD I found I was using less than half of the over the counter painkillers and the headache and stiffness were far less.

I certainly wouldn't expect LDN and/or CBD to cause any cancer to go into remission until I had seen a lot of published evidence, but my experience of CBD is positive, though entirely anecdotal :/
