Hi x, my mum was out of the blue diagnosed with a rare form of AML last October. The cancer is AMML and it’s terminal. It’s been an awful time since October for both of us and my mum, who’s 83, has spent many days in hospital. I’ve been with her virtually every day since this started and it’s been really tough. Xx
Hi again Caroline M26 and well done navigating across to this group.
I have a totally different journey having been on my journey for over 25 years now with my first rare type of (incurable) T-Cell NHL appearing in 1999 at the age of 44. Then it’s buddy…. another rare type of (aggressive) T-Cell NHL appeared in late 2013 taking me to stage 4……. 2 years of full on treatments followed……. But I turned 70 back in Nov and I am living as good a life as I can.
Lets look for any caregivers in the group to pick up on your post……..
I would also join and post in our more busy, general cancer……
Supporting someone with incurable cancer
……. support groups where you will connect with a wide range of members navigating the exact same support challenges.
((Hugs))
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
