  • Hi  and welcome to this corner of the community but sorry to hear about your partners diagnosis.

I am Mike  and I help out around our blood cancer groups. I don’t have AML or Myeloma but was diagnosed back in 1999 with a rare incurable skin Non Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.

I have to say that over the years I have been helping on the Community this is a first to hear someone with both AML and Myeloma.

Both are very treatable but Myeloma is incurable with AML, depending on treatments used, can result in long periods of remission.

What treatments have they actually talked about using?

It’s always good to talk so do call the Macmillan Support Services on 0808 808 00 00 - most services are open 8am to 8pm, 7 days a week Clicking here to see what is available. This service can give lots of information, support, financial guidance or just a listening ear. We also have our Ask an Expert section, but do allow two working days for replies from our expert team.

To find information covering diagnosis, treatments and pages covering most types of cancers can be found on our Online Information and Support Section

    ((hugs))
