AML 18 - please is anyone doing this trial?

Hi and welcome across to this corner of the community. I am Mike Thehighlander and I help out around our blood cancer groups.

Sorry to hear about your husbands AML diagnosis. There have been a few who have been on AML18 so let’s see if they are still active on the site.

You can put AML18 into the site search tool  near the top (choose the Anywhere tab) and look at all the old post and as always hit reply and see if you can connect.

It would also be helpful to reply with what hospital he is being treated at as the more info the better.

Hi Katharine, I had the AML18 trial in  MAY 2018 aged 61, I was very poorly at the time but coped quite well with few side effects. It consisted of 10 days of chemo, then a few weeks later 8 days, followed by 5 days again a few weeks later. It got me into remission but unfortunately I relapsed the following February. I went on to have a bone marrow transplant just coming up to two years ago. Hope all goes well for your dad x
