Hello, can I ask if anyone has managed to get insurance when you are terminal. My husband was given 6-12 months in July 24. He has prostrate cancer which has gone to his spine. When I was looking for a quote 2 insurance’s have said they can’t quote as my husband has passed his sell by date( as we like to call it) and we have to get a new date from the doctor or consultant !!! Which is impossible as no one knows.
Hi HelenBruce, I haven't been in your position but if any will possibly be able to help is Insurewith
I strongly suggest that you speak with any Companies and not try online contact as you can explain better
I do hope you can do something and pleas come back to the forum or the number below for further support
Take care both of you
Tony

Hi HelenBruce
How did you get on with the recommendation that Kasvin gave you? If you were unable to get a quote from them you might want to have a look through the threads 'recommended travel insurance' and 'recommended travel insurance 2023-24', as you'll find lots of suggestions for travel insurance within them.
You might need to check what the travel insurers class as 'terminal' when you get quotes. You'll see in this reply by pollyalison to a previous post in this group that "some companies class 6 months as terminal and others 12 months but if you do not have a prognosis you are classed as incurable not terminal."
A former member posted here in a reply to another poster "If your husband is still receiving treatment, then he is not terminal. I am treatable but not curable but most certainly not terminal."
I hope you're able to get insurance and have some more holidays.
My husband was given 6-12 in July 24 but has gone pass that. There is no treatment. I haven’t had time to check the link yet as he’s had a couple of bad days.
my problem is they want another time limit but no one can give that as he has done better then expected. Thank you for your reply
I'm sorry to hear that your husband has had a couple of bad days.
((hugs))
