I’m looking for cruise insurance. I check so many they refuse me and one of them. It was so expensive for 14 days so I wonder if anybody can help me more reasonable price.

Thank you

  • Hi  and a very warm welcome to the group which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.

Unfortunately, it can be more difficult to find reasonably priced travel insurance when a cancer diagnosis is involved. Even without a pre-existing medical condition, cruise insurance is usually more expensive, but have you had chance to look through the 'recommended travel insurance' and 'recommended travel insurance 2023-24' threads yet as you'll find lots of suggestions for travel insurance there? If not, it's best to go through them and make a list before settling down to get quotes.

Although the recommendations won't be specifically for cruises there are plenty of companies to try.

I do hope you can find some reasonably priced insurance so you can go ahead and book your cruise. Actually, I think the cruise companies themselves offer travel insurance so, if you haven't already, you could get a quote from the company you're hoping to book with.

  • I use good to go insurance, have used them a few times pre-diagnosis, and have just booked a week in France for just under £25 (including a 20% loyalty discount).  My partners quite was around £10 in comparison. I have pre-existing conditions, and have finished my cancer treatment about a month ago. They wanted to know if I had refused any treatment tho.

  • I’ve used insurewith for a 5 day cruise to Amsterdam next year - very reasonable and in depth questions but felt assured I was covered - I have secondary breast cancer
