Hi everyone, I'm currently on Maintenance Therapy for 2 years after having 6months Chemo for NHL. I'm looking for travel insurance for a 5 day cruise, any advice appreciated. Iris
Hi Iris and a very warm welcome to the group which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.
Unfortunately, it can be more difficult to get reasonably priced travel insurance when a cancer diagnosis is involved. Have you had chance to look through the 'recommended travel insurance' and 'recommended travel insurance 2023-24' threads yet as you'll find lots of suggestions for travel insurance there? If not, have a look through them and make a list before settling down to get quotes.
I've used payingtoomuch.com and goodtogoinsurance.com in the past, although neither were for a cruise.
I hope you're able to get some reasonably priced travel insurance so that you can book your holiday.
Anne
Hi Iris I am Mike and I look after our Lymphoma groups…… and I have just put up a reply to your post in the Follicular Lymphoma group.
I see you asked our Nurse Team if you should declare that you are on Maintenance Therapy….. based on my long experience (25 years) living with my 2 types of rare T-Cell NHL but also talking with others….. if you are asked if you are on ‘any’ lymphoma treatment…….. Maintenance Therapy is a definite yes…..
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
