Today our usual travel insurance provider have refused to cover our holiday because my husband now has a second suspected only, cancer diagnosis, after the biopsy was inconclusive. He already has neuroendocrine small intestine cancer primary with mets to the liver, diagnosed and treated over the years since 2020. Has anyone been in a similiar position? It's all so frustrating and worrying, there must be a company that will help us, but rather worried about horrendous costs now
Hi LindaS and a very warm welcome to the online community which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.
I’m Anne, one of the Community Champions here on the Online Community and I know how difficult it can be to get reasonably priced travel insurance when you've had a cancer diagnosis.
I have had two cancer diagnoses and found cover through goodtogoinsurance.com was reasonable last time I came to book a holiday. However, both of my cancers had been treated so I don't know if not yet having a diagnosis for the second cancer will make a difference.
Have you had chance to look through the 'recommended travel insurance' and 'recommended travel insurance 2023-24' threads yet as you'll find lots of suggestions for travel insurance there? If not, it's best to go through them and make a list before settling down to get quotes.
Let me know how you get on and I hope you can find some suitable cover so that you can go ahead and book your holiday.
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
We’re here to provide physical, financial and emotional support.
