Best travel insurance quotes please for terminal pancreatic cancer patient

  • Hi  and a very warm welcome to the online community which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.

I don't have a terminal prognosis but I used payingtoomuch.com last year to cover both myself and my husband and thought they were a reasonable price. They also paid out without too much effort when we had to cancel.

Have you had chance to look at the recommendations in the 'recommended travel insurance' thread yet? If not, clicking on the link I've created will take you straight there. You might also want to look at this thread as it includes a link to a Travel Insurance Directory.

Most people recommend that it's best to phone the insurance companies rather than try and do online quotes as often at the end of the online quote it will tell you to phone the company and you'll then have to go through all the information again. Also, sometimes the broker can refer to the underwriters to see if they would provide cover when an online quote might just give you a straight refusal.

Do come back and let us know how you get on

  • Hi

I phoned this travel insurance company,

    http://payingtoomuch.com

To be told, if you are still having treatment or test's.  They cannot insure people with cancer...

Absolutely gutted,  and up setting this is..

Still desperate for other company's, and prices people have been given.

I am being treated for throat cancer. Last chemo Thusday..

  • Hi

I'm sorry to read that payingtoomuch.com weren't able to cover you. When I got cover I had finished my treatment.

Can I suggest, if you haven't already, that you take a look at the links I provided to Mamaju as you'll find plenty of other recommendations there.

    All the best

  • Hi

Thank you for your reply...if you are having 6 monthly blood test, that apparently is still classed as treatment....

So much in a rut now..

  • As you might find that different insurers consider blood tests differently, it's certainly worth phoning around for a few quotes.
