It's perfectly natural to be feeling as you do and you might find this information from Macmillan on emotional support for family and friends helpful.
You might also find it helpful to talk things through with one of the nurses on the Macmillan Support Line. They're available on 0808 808 0000 every day from 8am to 8pm.
Sending virtual ((hugs))
does it matter talking to the nurses about my friend?
The nurses don't have access to NHS records, so won't be able to see what treatment your friend is having, but they can talk in general terms and point you in the direction to get the emotional and mental support you are looking for.
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
We’re here to provide physical, financial and emotional support.
