Hi everyone.
My mum is 59 ( hopefully be turning 60 in April).
She has advanced bowel cancer which is likely to also be in her lungs however she is too frail for further investigations. She isn't fit for any form of treatment and is therefore deemed palliative. We only found out in January 2025.
She's had a stent placed into her colon to hopefully prevent a blockage but that is all they can do.
I'm going to her consultant appointment with her next week. What have people found helpful to ask in these appts? I know it will be difficult to hear but she does want to know her prognosis so she can plan accordingly.
Thanks everyone
