My wife 61 has non curative Lung Cancer and Liver too. Due to also having a kidney transplant 7 years ago, there is not much in the way of treament.
The prognosis 3 weeks ago was 6 - 9 months, now only after 3 weeks since diagnosis we are told to prepare for end of life in the next few days.
It is difficult to get my head around, as only a week ago, we was out and about (albeit using a wheelchair), and now in hospital and not being able to take in enough oxygen to support her.
I try to be strong and keep her spirits up but the last day or so, she knows the end is near.
thanks
