Im not sure if im doing this right or if anyone will read this can anyone help me understand what help we can get and who from about what to expect my friends pain is increasing daily and we dont know if this is a sign things are getting worse or if its normal thanks
I am not sure if you are talking about a friend who has been diagnosed with cancer i presume you are. If your friend is experiencing pain and not feeling well, they can contact their consultant, oncologist, oncologist nurse your friend should have one assigned to them,or their GP. My hospital has a unit to go to if you are a cancer patient and are feeling unwell, the oncologist would have give your friend a emergency number to contact if they are concerned about anything. If the pain is increasing daily i would sort out help as soon as possible from the hospital , there is a lot of help out there.Your friend should also of been given the number of your local hospice the nurses there can give your friend pain relief without them having to go to doctors or hospital. If i were them i would make an appointment with any of the above and have a chat about pain control and a talk about what to expect in the future, hope this helps
