Good morning to you all just thought I would introduce myself. My name is Brian I have been diagnosed with stage 4 incurable rectal cancer which has spread to my liver and lungs. Prognosis is not good but I am fighting. Had my 2nd course of chemotherapy last week. Still getting used to it all.
Hi Benji79, of course I don't mind you reading my profile, that's what it's for, I know it's hard but when you and your family come to terms with you being incurable, life gets better, things that were once important become trivia allowing us to get on with the really important things in life, family's friend's planing for things you've always wanted to do.
Luckily or unlucky for me I have5 grand daughters ranging from 1yr to 8 plus a grandson due in June. The girls keep me entertained I have told them I can get into more trouble than they can. And they are putting me to the test, think they are winning at the moment.
I have read your profile, it just gives people an insight, on the journey the person is on.
Sorry to read, what the start of it was like, but now you go forward, as we say, and prognosis is only a number, and how we all react with treatment,
My oncologist told me last week her patients s normally get to eighteen months, i have just pasted 7years now, i cannot believe it, not easy, but still here.
This site has kept me going from day one, with the support, from everyone, xx
