Morning all, Just setting up a new chat thread for March. If you want to catch up on February's chat you can click here but it will be closed.
The chit chat thread is for:
"Daily Life chit chat for bloods, scans, appointments, going shopping, cutting grass, reading, watching some thing decent on TV - whatever your day has in store for you. That is daily life!
Even having a laugh, that is a normal life, and we all have it.
If you have a special topic please start a new thread so people that wish to see it can, and can comment."
Hi Lex, I'm so sorry for the way your feeling, but not surprised, the bad times are normal to us all, we're all in, as we say the same boat, we have to make the most of it when the waters calm, as we know they won't be all the time, as for crying, I do it whenever my body tells me too, and always feel better for it, will you be back with Tiki, soon, our furry friends are so important to us, Lex just writing your post and being so open about your feelings, shows you have more strength than you think.
Eddie xx
Hi All, I think doing some kind of craft is a great thing to keep your mind off of other things and if you attend a class then the company makes such a difference to how you feel..
I have tried basket weaving at a Country Park near me but found it quite difficult because of the materials they used like wicker. I did Pottery at school and loved it but I don’t think I would have the strength to do it now. Does anyone watch The Great Pottery Throw down? I used to knit when our children and grandchildren were small but then my shoulders started aching, I also do Cross Stitch but wanted something new. I joined a Crochet class at our local library and there are people from 6 different generations. They are great company and if you get stuck in between classes, Utube explains everything! I used to be very active with badminton, tennis, walking, cycling and Tai Chi but now I need something more sedentary and I have found it!
I hope everyone has a great Sunday! Eddie of course living up here I cover my plants with fleece when it is frosty and they usually survive well, although I was frozen, they were fine!!
Love Annette x
Morning everyone.
I thought I take the opportunity to say hello.
My name’s Ian I was diagnosed with advanced prostate cancer on new years day. That’s enough about that as I like the idea of a somewhere to have a normal chat.
You can probably guess by my picture my hobby is keeping,lm not very crafty but your chat on basket making as made me think maybe I should have a go at making a traditional Bee Skep.
Ian
