Hi Stella, I'm feeling ok thank you, I have been lucky to stay so long on my first treatment, and so far new meds not causing problems.
Lovely to hear your mums visiting, and doing dinner, you will have to share her recipe.
Oh Stella, it is a difficult thing to discuss, I too have done my advanced care planning at the hospice, which I find is a comfort and removes a lot of worry, so you can get on with living. I hope it does the same for you my friend.
Absolutely Stella, live your life, take sensible precautions, avoid large indoor crowds, always have a mask in case you have any concerns, people coughing or a packed lift. and enjoy yourself.

Good evening Stella, as some of the group have already said, get on with what makes you happy. Of course a bit of sensible caution is not a bad idea. It took me a while to get my head around advanced planning for when my conveyor belt of life will come to an end. I am at ease with it now and feel better for having sorted all the important issues from passwords to Bank details to Power of Attorney. As my Doctor said, only because you are planning certain things does not mean they are imminent. It will make it easier for my children, which is important to me. After the lockdowns during Covid I was scared to get out and about again. Took a while for my kids to convince me it was ok with a sensible approach. Have been to quite a few live gigs, Rugby match and lunches with family or friends and never caught anything. Where I got Covid from a few weeks back is a bit of a puzzle, since I didn’t go anywhere but to 2 Hospital appointments. We all lost too much precious time being locked down and unable to see our families and friends over the last few years. Just do what you feel comfortable with and enjoy it.

Good evening Angie, and thank you, thankfully one of my daughters is driving up with me as far as Edinburgh, so 235 miles less driving for me, and I will pass on your love to family, Friday 3rd is the likeliest day I will return to Scotland, how are you feeling Angie, I hope your recovery is going well, and all's well.
love Eddie xx
My sister was here earlier and she is not now going to have either Covid or flu jags because she had heard of quite a few people recently who had had bad reactions.
So you are right, it will put people off getting them.
Love Annette x
I am glad your daughter is driving the first part of the journey. Hope the rest of the drive is smooth and not too busy. The scenery must be stunning.
Have a safe journey x
Good morning Stella, how did mums homemade dinner go yesterday, I bet it was fab, and what are your thoughts today on going to London, you know what the guys on here think,
I'm delighted my daughter and partner are doing the driving to Edinburgh, It would be very difficult to drive all the way by myself without an overnight stop, we're taking Poppy as well, so I will have company all the way and I will have to stop regularly for her, which is good for me too, as sometimes you just want to get there and 3 hours sat driving isn't good for me, and yes the scenery is amazing.
How are you feeling today, I hope your on an ok day, are you hoping to do something today, this weekend, I think Sunday is forecast a lovely day, It would be nice to make something of it,
I will be having Christmas dinner, my second, with my auntie, partner and friends, and resting as we're driving home on Sunday, appointments Monday Booo,
Have a lovely time, whatever you may do.

Dinner was great except my mum has to make more as we just demolished it in 5 minutes. Hope you are having fun driving up and who gets to choose the music?
I have booked hotel in London and will go on Monday afternoon and have a look around the lights etc. I particularly want a vase from this ceramic shop so will have a good look around there. Still need to make a dinner reservation though.
i have got some friends coming tomorrow for a Mexican lunch but on hindsight not sure spicy food is wise for bowel cancer patients. Think I will take some Imodium and carry on.
There is rather sad news that one of my husband’s work colleagues had killed himself. Craig is upset and obviously thinks that he could have done more. Do you have any advice on how to talk to him? Or just leave him be?
Hope you will see some sun and blue sky at the weekend . Take care x
