Good morning Ellie, I got Lego sets for my 4 older grandchildren for Christmas as well. Started with Duplo and with increasing age swapped to Lego. They all love to build and play with it. My oldest grandson has now gone to enjoy Lego Technic. Considering how advanced Lego has got since we played with it. I remember getting very excited when the first curved and corner pieces were available. Much better time spent with Lego than on mobile phones if you ask me. Hope you are doing ok and enjoy the rest of the week. Wishing everyone as good a week as possible and good test results

Alana , Do you go back to Germany much? My parents are Chinese and we moved here when I was 15. My husband’s aunt married and moved to Germany many years ago. So we meet up with his German cousins/ friends from time to time in Bavaria. It was always good fun and excellent pork dishes!
I read English books but mainly non fictions as English is my 2nd language and I don’t feel it when I read it so poems are very hard for me. I however do enjoy reading Chinese poems. I am glad your grandchildren live all rather near you and can often visit. That must be lovely.
How are you feeling today? Hope the pill is not making you too uncomfortable. I am still tired but hopefully will perk up soon. X
Well done for climbing Ben Nevis! Must be quite a challenge. I prefer cable car to the mountain tops I used to go to ski resort in Europe, just to go up have a look and drink hot chocolate, then get down and go sit in the spa facilities while everyone is out skiing. I miss seeing snow in the winter as it is normally mild here in Cambridge.
I was born in China and moved here when I was 15. I like Glasgow, it is a great city to live in and people are friendly. My husband Craig is from Glasgow and we met at the university.
It is fabulous your aunt is getting married after being together for over 60 years. Many congratulations! Are you and Shelia planning a big wedding for the summer? How exciting!
I bet you are very popular at the dancing club, there is never enough men to partner with.
Hope this week is not too taxing for you.

Good Evening Stella, hope it’s not as cold with you as it is here tonight. I know Bavaria fairly well and yes it is a beautiful corner of the World. The food is something I do miss. I have not been abroad for a few years now and doubt that will change in the near future. My grandchildren are getting rather excited about Christmas. We chat via FaceTime nearly every day since I am still recuperating at home and don’t mix with people yet. My daughter comes in to make sure I am ok. She is a nurse, so I am lucky in that way. Hope you have a cosy evening at home. I am going to make myself a coffee now and watch a film. Take care

Hi Stella, thank you, but although I have climbed Ben Nevis 7 times, my climbing days ended 11 years ago when I smashed my back in a car accident, so cable cars for me too nowadays, but aren't mountain tops wonderful, almost magical. We went to Tromso, in Norway a few months ago and took the cable car up the local mountain, and the views over the fjords were amazing and there was a very nice restaurant as well, and a gentle walk down.
I have never been to a ski resort, but hot chocolate and time in the Spa sounds perfect, and I hope you get to see snow this winter, but what a lovely place to live, It's Sheila's favourite city, It's her special place, she has taken her kids there forever.
Wow that must have been an adventure Stella, moving here from China and so young too, and you have German family as well, my dad was German/polish, but sadly no family overseas, lucky you having family in Bavaria to visit, lots of snow there Stella.
I would love a big wedding, but Sheila's an introvert, so she's found the smallest church she could find, it only accommodates 17 people, which is just enough for closest, adult family, I would have loved all the grandkids there, but not to be, my auntie and her partner are amazing, their closer than ever, despite all the bigotry aimed at them all their lives, though lately people are more open minded.
It's the seniors community hall Stella, dance night is every other Sunday, It used to be 2 hours, but as I am the only guy who goes now, "I don't live in the bungalows", and I'm not getting any younger, I can only last about a hour, but it's fun, and I've known many of the ladies many years and count them all as good friends,
Another busy week for me, what about you Stella, what are your plans for the week ahead, whatever they are, I hope you have a good time,
Eddie xx
Hi Kate, yes I did realise you were joking about the Lego tree but I did get one last year! Maybe you should get some for your mum’s Xmas! You are so very lucky still to have your mum around!
We have bought all 3 of our grandchildren Lego for years at Christmas and this year is no different! It used to be a Stocking filler but now our g/children love the technology ones and the architecture ones and because they have moving parts etc they can be quite expensive! But yes it is better than video games etc. I can picture your large blue bag Ellie & I’m sure you must be looking forward to the day when your own grandchildren play with it and you can help them! Has anyone watched Lego Masters Australia on TV, it is amazing and there are no children to be seen!
