Good morning.
My mum came to visit and stay for a few days. We are going into town today. Firstly to look around the shops then going to see Paddington 3 in a ‘luxury’ cinema newly opened. Rather excited by that.
I had a restless night. I think I am just worried about starting the new chemotherapy next Thursday and the new life of chemo for life. Anyone can offer some reassurance?
Have a lovely day.

Hi
Have a good day with your mum and the Cinema lovely.
Advise, you put it in your comment, Chemo for Life, and thats what its is, really.
We are doing a swap one for the other, and you might not have a lot of side effects .If you do, you will deal with them.
Try not to worry about some thing that has not occurred yet. Its the fear of the unknown.
Enjoy today, Onwards and Upwards is the way to go.
Morning Stella, lovely to hear your mums visiting, and your going on a girls day out, sounds fab. Sorry I can't really help with your chemo question having never had it, but from what friends tell me, possible side effects are random to each individual and sometimes from cycle to cycle, your nurses at chemotherapy are in the best place to answer your questions and to prevent or treat any issues you may have, Stella there's a dedicated chemotherapy forum, maybe worth asking on there.
I noticed you said you go to Maggies, their cancer support specialists can be very helpful, as can the MAcmillan helpline, Stella I did relaxation therapy at Maggies which really helped with my sleep and those difficult times we all have. Take care.

Morning stranger, have you missed me, LOL, not been on much as i have had a lot going on, hope your doing ok and things are getting a little better, I did hear your eye injection is long overdue, this is not right Ellie, and as strong as you are it must get you down at times, my daughter Mandy had her MDT meeting yesterday, all good, scan in a fortnight with chemo on 2nd January with a very good chance of cure, we've come a long way from being told fhe only had a year at most in June. will be praying for equally good news for your family.

Hi long time no see, thought i was starting to smell, and you was staying clear. LOL
Glad you have been busy and your daughter is doing well.
My brother starts his treatment next week.
Me well still waiting for injection last one was September supposed to be every four weeks, my. daughter even drove to hospital after i made two phone calls and got no where, hospital reply when we get in touch you will know.
Asked for district nurse to come in and do my bloods, that is two weeks ago, I have had to book an appointment at hospital and I go tomorrow.
I am suppose to have a Brain MRI eight weeks after op, had a phone call last week to book one, when I said I have titanium in brain, the questions I was asked, how many screws, or how many rings in the end I said I am only the patience , it was the Nero surgeon that asked for it, I had one straight after op, heard nothing since, I have phoned my lung nurse and waiting for a call, not going to hold my breath.
So thats me bet your sorry you asked, and I have had a problem with the boiler, and not talking about me. lol
Onwards and upwards
So happy for your daughter Eddie, everything crossed for her.

Hi Ellie, thank you for your kind words, I will have everything crossed for your brother
I'm really sorry to hear about all your delays, especially your eye injection its not something you can just put to one side as it impacts you all day, every day, I would be talking to PALS, Ellie, you have more patience than me.
I have a lovely district nurse, will help me out if needed but because I'm not house bound is not allowed to visit, maybe it's the same with you.
Why would they think you knew how many rings and screws you have, I hope you told them to call your neurosurgeons secretary for that information, why don't they call them first. Was that a joke Ellie, your not going to hold your breath, waiting for the lung nurse, good to see you still have your sense of humour. I suppose we all need that.
Not sorry in the slightest Ellie, it's always good to talk to you, I'm guessing you have your biggest pair of big girls knickers pulled up as far as they will go, I hope everything gets sorted soon for you, and your little brother
love Eddie xx
Thank you Stella, that's so kind of you to say, we are all very hopeful for a good outcome, well the suns just come out here, just after I got in, take care.
Eddie xx
Thank you Ellie. You are right there is no point wasting energy thinking about the things I can not control. Have to constantly snap myself out of the pointless worrying.
You have gone through so much, it is really courageous. Can I ask how is your daughter now? Are you receiving any treatment right now.
