Hi
At the age of 37 I was diagnosed with hormonal breast cancer. I had chemo, radio and a lumpectomy. I was also put on Tamoxifen for 10 years.
10 years is up this year. Slightly anxious to be losing the protection of tamoxifen, but realise 10 years is the limit.
I have had classic menopausal symptoms over this time including my periods stopping. But not sure if this is a ‘fake’ menopause… and I will have to still go through the real thing??
I guess I’m anxious that my hormones will bounce back and the cancer will return.
Has anyone else been through this, and is there anything I could take instead of tamoxifen going forward? Need a bit of reassurance.
Thanks
x
