Has anyone gone to Parkrun or the 5k your way https://5kyourway.org/ / Parkrun meetups?
I'm not exactly a 'bright and sparky at 9am on a Saturday' person but I'd trying to run 5km regularly anyway, and I love the idea of meeting others in a similar situation. I'm happy meeting people at outside events, and I know that Parkruns aren't competitive so it doesn't matter if you're running or walking, so they seem kinda perfect.
Hi m123
I've never been tempted to take part as I don't think my knees would take it these days but it sounds like a great way of getting exercise and meeting new people in a 'safe' situation.

I just read recently that running is ok for knees https://www.stylist.co.uk/fitness-health/workouts/does-running-really-damage-your-knees-and-cause-knee-pain/553217
I've had a lot of joint pain from endocrine therapy so was worried about running, but actually it's really helped.
I've discovered that the 5k Your Way nearest us has cake after the 5km walk or run, so I'm definitely quite tempted to try it out. Cake and a chat with people who get what we're going through sounds pretty good!
