Corona Confusion All Round

I was treated for DCIS last year, with my radiotherapy completing on the 23rd December 2019.  Due to coronavirus and prior to government guidelines being put in place, I contacted the NHS and asked the question of whether or not I should self-isolate.  I was told that because my treatment finished almost 12 weeks ago, it would be OK not to self-isolate.

I have now received the letter from the NHS, which I assume was sent to me as I fall into the high risk category.  My treatment was for pre-cancerous cells and I didn’t view myself as high-risk.

My husband on the other hand was treated last year for tonsil cancer, but he hasn’t received such a letter.

Obviously, we are both isolating at home now, but I feel a bit thick.

Now your question - it is very confusion and the best advise I can give is talk with your medical team or your GP.

I am 4 1/2 years out from my last treatment but also got the letter Thinking
