As we’re all aware chemo weakens the immune system. Does anyone know how to boost the immune back once treatment ends? This new corona virus in the U.K. is frightening..anyone aware of any jabs etc to help gain the strength in immune system..been 4 months since chemo ended (6months for breast cancer)
Hi , I do understand your concerns having lived for over 6 years with a dysfunctional and at times no immune system.
By 4-6 months her immune system should be recovering well but If her immune system is not showing recovery in her blood tests then talk with her team. I was on G/CSF Injections for a few months after my treatment as my immune system had not recovered
It took my immune system over 6 years to recover to where is is now, still not at a pre treatment level but OK so I was told that the best way to boost my immune system was a good balanced diet.
