Hi. I am a 54 year old male with a right sided ileostomy and a significant parastomal hernia. The hernia is quite high up as as such I am having difficulty finding smart trousers or jeans to fit. If I wear a normal pair then they are sitting slightly too low as the normal belt line would be on the hernia. Any advice from gents (or ladies) on what brands might be best for something high waisted, or any other tips would be very welcome. Thank you!!
Hi Little Dave and welcome to our group.
I hope one of the guys in the group will come along and be able to help you out with some ideas. As a woman with a colostomy and urostomy and no experience of parastomal hernias this is outside my own experience, but I wanted to say hello and welcome to MacMillan and this group in particular.
Do you wear any type of support belt to help with the hernia?
Sarah xx
