i I was wondering if anyone can give any tips on how they manage low iron with an ileostomy. Do you take a tablet, spray, liquid supplement and what foods/drinks helped you? Thanks .
Hi myheartbelongsinwales and welcome to our group.
I’m sorry I don’t have the right experience to give advice as I have a permanent colostomy, but I was given iron tablets after my surgery as my iron levels were a concern. I hope others who have managed this with an ileostomy will be along to post soon and offer some advice from their perspective.
