How do you decide which bag suits best ? I started with the flat bags but due to a strange shaped stoma, oval with hole a top, I find poop leaks under and makes the skin sore have tried rings which make it worse, slightly better with stoma paste. Now trying convex bags, no leaks but quite bulky to wear
Hi Milkmaid66
I ordered lots of free samples from various companies and tried them out-just trial and error till I found what I liked for my colostomy. For my urostomy I had advice from my stoma nurse due to constant leaks, and went on to convex bags which solved that problem. I’m not keen on them being a bit more bulky, but better than leaks. I must have tried dozens of different bags over time for both before I settled on what I felt suited me best.
