I'm having my bladder removed soon due to muscle invasive bladder cander. I have been offered neo bladder or Urostomy.
I'd love to continue horse riding in the future, any experience anyone can share greatly received!
Many thanks

I’m sorry you haven’t received a reply yet about your horseriding-I know I’ve seen it mentioned before, but can’t remember the member’s name. My reply will bump your post up again and it hopefully might get spotted. I can’t think why it wouldn’t be possible with a urostomy, but don’t have the practical experience to know for sure how it might impact. As I said to you in the bladder group, I honestly can’t think of anything I wouldn’t be able to tackle with a urostomy but the closest I’ve got is riding a bike!

Hello Purple Sparkle,
I think you will learn that you can do more or less anything if you really want to. I put a search on the Internet and found this link amongst some others - all positive: The Horse and Hound forum suggests that horse riding is an excellent exercise to restore one's muscles after surgery.

Dulac How wonderful of you, I try not to search the internet too much as I'm feeling quite overwhelmed by everything I'm trying to process, but my surgery is getting closer!
The link that you found is certainly encouraging. I really appreciate your support thank you!
