Hello
Just wondering if anyone on here takes nutritional supplements and, if so, which ones.
I've had my ileostomy for two years now and it's been absolutely fine up until now and I've felt really well. Recently though I've just felt so tired during the day - not so much when I'm on the go but when I sit down I feel my eyes closing, which is unheard of for me. My diet is the same as before my ileostomy (reasonably healthy) but I wonder if there are some nutrients which aren't being absorbed.
Saw my CRN earlier this week for CT & CEA results and mentioned it but she didn't seem that concerned.
I'm hoping that someone can suggest something to perk me up a bit.
Cheers!
I'm sorry to hear that you've been feeling tired lately, and I understand that it can be concerning. It's not uncommon for individuals with ileostomies to experience changes in their energy levels due to potential nutrient absorption issues.
While maintaining a reasonably healthy diet is essential, it's possible that certain nutrients may not be absorbed as effectively as they were before your ileostomy. One supplement to consider is Tongkat Ali, which is known for its potential to boost energy and vitality. You can explore some of the best Tongkat Ali supplements. Your healthcare provider's input will ensure that you're taking the right approach to improve your energy levels safely. I hope you start feeling more energized soon!
