Reversal

Sorry don’t think it was a sigmoidoscopy think it was ct scan with dye my brain is all over the place

Before my surgery(not a reversal though) my colorectal surgeon requested a pelvic mri. I’d already had an MRI, CT and Petscan. He said it was because he wanted an “up to date roadmap” before I had my operation-it wasn’t because anything had been picked up on the other scans, but he wanted a very recent view of my bowel. Maybe it’s something similar for you? 

I think the best thing to do as you’re worried is call the surgeon’s secretary and ask to check why it’s been requested.

I had the blue dye test. 
It’s no bother they just check that the join has healed. 
I actually found it fascinating I asked to see the screen  The doctor was lovely

Hi yes I had the dye ct scan but didn’t see anything but the doctor said it looked all good just don’t know why I am having the MRI  pelvic one  as no one mentioned it to me just be paranoid. 
!

1. Hi again spoke to my the surgeons sce yesterday but she could only say he will send out a letter to explain it ! But will chase it up( not very helpful) then I spoke to my cancer nurse who read from my notes the letter that will be sent out , which says there was a puddle seen ! But she explain it could have been the dye as  the scan doesn't seem to give a clear picture so that’s why I am getting the MRI so that seems good!  note to self contact my nurse when getting worried first !!!
