I have been accepted to trial a new system to help stop leakages or at least warn wearers through an app on their phone. It sounds amazing and has passed all the necessary safety trials now it’s volunteers to trial the new invention.
Ive downloaded the app on my phone and it looks quite exciting it fits under the base plate and is connected by Bluetooth to my phone. When there is a risk of a leak I will be warned by my phone if I ignore that an the leaks on its way my phone will alert me.
I wondered if anyone else here is under the trial.
Yes I agree Kath luckily I haven’t had too many leaks of late as I have almost got into my system however I’m going to test this to the max. It’ll be something to challenge. I will have home days and test it properly.
Also I read about t a carer took a sewing machine and revolutionised caring for a loved one in bed wearing a pouch and the continual bed changes as leaks were unavoidable. She made a type of cushion that wrapped around the base plate in a light sponge. Then all she had to do was check the foam. How clever is that. The NHS are excited about it.
That’s something completely different to my trial
Well this device im testing will really help people too.
I am lucky I qualified I think it’s quite restrictive
Ill keep you posted. Ha ha. I will be making sure I get leaks!!!
