I just wanted to thank this group for being there for me since I gained my Stoma. I’ve had a few issues that I have popped  on here and got advice, words of wisdom and support.

With kind regards

Ann

  • I'd second that wholeheartedly.  It's a fantastic group with really helpful and friendly folk who make you realise that you're not on your own. I truly hope that we can all have the best year possible.  Thanks everyone.

  • I totally agree - this is a wonderfully supportive group which feels safe to discuss all our fears and concerns. Additionally we can discuss the funny/embarrassing things that happen without judgement or  criticism.

Wishing all the lovely people using this site a very Happy New Year.

  • I know this is so late but had internet problems, hoping this year brings everyone what they want and need. I am glad I found this group and although I seldom post, I often lurk as it is so helpful. 6 months now since I got my colostomy and life is looking good.

  • Matilda5 I  so glad that you're going through this horrendous journey sO have to agree with you regarding the rupture   Now we.can see the light at the end of the tunnel  its getting brighter every day .

  • Stoma nurse just visited and apart from nagging me for not wearing  a support belt all the time, she is happy with me and doesn't intend to see me for 6 months. Did tell her I wouldn't have a reversal even if one was possible. Thinking of renaming Sam to Rosebud as it has been so well behaved over the holidays.

  • Hi Matilda. Rosebuds a really sweet name. May she keep blooming. Springs on the way which I thinks the very best season.

  • hi Matilda, that's the great thing about this site - there's no pressure to do anything. Some  tips may be useful, other stuff you'll know already and there's posts that will probably make you laugh.  There might also be " tales of the unexpected".
