I've had a stoma for about 6 months as a result of surgery for advanced bowel cancer. I use a Comfort Belt, a support belt I initially bought for doing exercise. It has made such a huge difference that I've worn it every day since I bought it. It keeps the bag away from the top of my trousers and makes it all much more discreet and, as the name suggests, comfortable.
Recently I've put on some weight. I've had to restart chemo and eating (more or less constantly) is the only way I can keep the nausea under control. As a result, my bag no longer fits me and today I've visited the Comfort Belt website to get a bigger one.
The reason for this essay? Comfort Belt have a black Friday discount available on their website until the end if the day (30 Nov). Well worth taking advantage if you fancy giving one of their products a try... https://www.comfortbelt.com/
I really need to learn to summarise.
hi TD2000, there's no need to summarise - sometimes I only intend a few lines but end up writing paragraphs. This is a safe and supportive place to post - sometimes it's like floodgates opening. Say it ad you see it. There's no judgement only understanding and support.
