In a previous thread we started a discussion on our Stoma’s outputs and the unpredictability of dealing with it.
This led to us sharing the names that we call them.
I thought I would be a little bit of fun to have a separate thread here.
Mines called Whoopi.
I was still unsure of it until I ate beans.
She then became a whoopee cushion.
Please share yours.

Yes it does take some adjustments. I had pillows everywhere couldn’t move for causing pain. Ha ha not so much now I’m causing poor Whoopi a problem with her output and she’s splurging it out of the bonding. Think she tells me how I should sleep really

I suppose it must depend partly on the siting of the stoma.I can just curl up on my side with no pressure on the atoma.I do wear "big knickers"under my pyjamas which support the bag.I use convex bags but have never felt the need for the belts some people use with them

Hi Artsie.
I'm so glad that when I said there should be a stoma emoji, nobody thought I meant an actual stoma. That would have been wrong on every level!! Whoopi fits the image perfectly. While I was in hospital after my surgery, I called mine Whoopi Goldberg because she spent so much time blown up before becoming active.
Take care.

So did I and also I love Whoopi Goldberg’s attitude she’s a no nonsense sort it out character which I really wanted my stoma to be. Then I changed it when I got home until she became vocal
I did think about designing Whoopi stoma but she prefers her clothes on and I don’t trust her. There’s already an Haha. Couldn’t resist it. Ann xx
