Hi monzaman,
Sorry to hear your op has been put back, hopefully it'll go ahead in March. When you feel well enough for an afternoon at the fitba, you'll have to make sure that you have a couple of spare pouches and disposable bags just incase - you've got a man bag haven't you? You might want to have a wee bottle of water or juice to keep you hydrated. As for a few drinks, well, during your recovery and before you start going back to the fitba, have a drink at home and see how it affects you. I found that before my op I was ok with lager, but after the op, well, it gave me nothing but wind! Check your medication if you're on any when you're going out, make sure alcohol won't have any adverse effects. But definitely test the alcohol at home first! (Any excuse lol).
How are you getting on with your practice stoma and pouches?
Linda :-)
Thanks for reply 2207 going good with the practice just want it over with now
