I had a reversal of a stoma bag 8 weeks ago still going to see the nurse daily to pack the wound ,struggling to put any weight on,a lot of leaking and discomfort wondered if anyone else had it done ,any further down the line Thankyou.
Had my reversal on 5th December. Have put in a stone in weight but still on low fibre diet. Dressing was changed twice a week, now been discharged from dressing clinic. No discomfort at all, no leakage, have not felt so well for months. Best of luck, keep smiling.
Hi macca I had ileostomy reversal at the end of august after about 7 months with a bag. I was a bit poorly after, got an infection, think my bowel didnt like the crap!! going through it but antibiotics sorted that out. I struggled with loose bowels for about 8 weeks then started taking immodium just 2 a day if I keep going to the loo. I feel pretty much back to normal though I do have to go a bit more than before. I'm sure things will settle in time keep positive tis still quite early days. Vanessa
