Hi Wilma
It can be quite embarrassing when you are trying to get into disabled toilet and the looks and comments when you come out, but I dont let them bother me
I've got a heart shaped pin badge with the wording
It is "free" but they charge £1.95 for posting!
and can be obtained from

Note: I'm not too sure about the RADAR key that the company is selling
If anyone is interested I can tell you where you can get a genuine NKS RADAR KEY. small one and brand new release and is gold in colour. The key is free - contact me for details.
Ian
Thanks Ian. I have ordered one. Not worried about the key as for some reason I was given one by several different places when I first got my stoma. So I have about 3 xx
Hi Ian,
I am interested in the NKS RADAR KEY, when you say small, is it the length of the key small? I do have a large/long one when i received my stoma but because of the size of it i don't carry it around and would be interested in a smaller version if poss.
You said contact you for details but i couldn't find how to, except reply to your post
With Thanks
Pat
Hi Pat
Thanks for replying.
The way to get your free NKS RADAR key is to join the Convatec ME+ program.
Don't be put off by thinking is another manufacturer touting for business I can assure it's not the case.
You fill up the application form in the link above and tick that you want the small key and any other literature you want from the list and wait for the post man to drop your membership pack through the post.
One of girls may phone you to ask if you've got it and ask if there is anything they can help you with, just tell them if you're okay and they'll leave it at that and won't push you any further.
When you get your pack you will see some interesting leaflets incl one about access to their nurses and a new service they've started where they offer counselling to new ostomates and many other things the only condition is that you are a member of the
I've been speaking to the girls over the last few weeks and they are looking forward to seeing new members join them.
And really you don't have to use Convatec to supply your monthly requirements unlike Bowel and Bladder who will only send you a RADAR key if you join their delivery service
Once you join you can either download useful literature or ask for printed copies to be sent to you.
Let me know how you get on and what you think of it.
Ian
The key is much smaller that the large one that used to be available.
By clicking on the green text above will open up the application form for you
Hi Ian,
Thank you for your rapid reply, i have looked at the Convatec ME+ site and there is some good information on there. I have filled the application form in and sent it off with the addition for the small key and the selective information packs.
I find that you can't have too much information regarding stoma's because although most maybe the same, some can give that little bit more that we never knew or just missed and something important that each individual may recognize. I like to travel so i always look at the travelling/holidaying side of things for information.
I am happy with my supplier since day one (19mths), so i don't want to change that really as they are only around the corner from where i live and they always say drop in if i have any problems.
I shall let you know about my pack and my thoughts when i receive it
Thanks
Pat
