Have told husband I will find out about covers/wraps for when intimate as bag has habit of flapping about.Â
Unfortunately surgery caused nerve damage . Viagra doesn't work but we think we have found way to help after 2 years trying.
Please can I ask what do other people use to keep all in place. I am looking at wraps but wondered if peeps  had better ways.
ThanksÂ
Jane
Hi Jane,
I was recommended to use the tiny tiny bags used for swimming....You can get samples from Pelican for free.. www.pelicanhealthcare.co.uk/.../
My stoma nurse recommended folding the bag and / or securing the bottom with micrpore tape - stopping the flapping....
Wraps work well but dont be fooled by buying those specifically for ostomates a maternity wrap works just as well and you can get them for about £5 on ebay - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MATERNITY-BELLY-BAND-SIZE-XS-S-M-L-XL-/322364187138?var=&hash=item4b0e672202:m:mXfVOWAyQ8o7nnWKkHePxDw
Here is a link to a male page - has some tips (and also mentions the belly band!) https://www.veganostomy.ca/dressing-with-an-ostomy-clothing-guide-for-men/

Hi Jane
Are you looking for something for you or your husband?
Unfortunately we males have little options open to us to stop our bags flapping around apart from wearing a sash, if using a normal size pouch by tucking the tail of the pouch into a support belt or changing the pouch to a small pouch designed for short term use such as swimming or "this special moments". The other alternative is, if a two piece is worn, to reposition the pouch to horizontal position for the "moment"
Pouch covers disguise the pouch, tee shirts hide the pouch.
It might be possible to tape the pouch to the body but I would think that would create further complications unless the pouch is folded in half and taped to the stomach.
By now the moment will have past.
But for the ladies the options are endless and there are at least 3 companies that specialise in ostomy clothing for the ladies and most have a range for your intimate moments.
No matter what you your husband must ensure that the pouch has been emptyed and firmly secure before anything happens
Maybe not the right place for me, as a male, to go into the type of garments available but I could let you know the name of the companies for you to look at, your husband might enjoy also looking at them and helping you choose something new.
Viagra, unfortunately, does not work for everyone especially as ED can be experienced by males for a number of reasons.
Let me know if you want the names, although you may have read about them in a recent series of posts I was involved in a few days ago.

Hi Jane,
I used to empty my bag, then fold and secure it with microtape so that it was fairly flat to my tummy. Obviously not ideal but it worked fairly well for us. (Takes away any spontaneity but I suppose we can't have it all!)
I never used any special garments but my ileostomy was temporary and reversed after about 15 months. I think I might have investigated other solutions if it had been permanent.
I hope you find something that works well for you.
Jenny
Hi Ian
Thank you for your kind reply.
 Yes it's for husband.Â
Have found with husband the bottom of pouch drops below bottom of The shirt . Just wondered if wrap would hold it all in place. He uses a drainable pouch.Â
Maybe extra large scarf round middle and tucking pouch in to it would hold it all in place. Â
Don't want to grab wrong thing lol.
Thanks
Jane
Hi Jane
Thanks for your reply.
As the wrap is for your husband have a look at ostomy secrets unisex classic  belt which is a wrap in 3 colours and has an internal pocket for the pouch to be inserted and stop the tail dangling and avoids the fumbling.
The description actually makes reference to the intimate moments

A nice silk scarf tied round your husbands waist might be just as good  and give a good body to body feeling.

Have ordered a black wrap. Â See how goes. Might like the gentle support and decide to wear during day.Â
Hi Nikki,
can I just thank you for that last web site link (male page). It is just what I was looking for.

Use a Maternity Belly Band off ebay.....they are stretchy and quite deep and you can "fold" the bag up underneath it. Just Step into it. I buy a smaller size, so it's nice and snug. Much cheaper than expensive wraps, which are only belly bands with a pocket sewn inside....
