I had my stoma formation in June this year and have managed really well without any major problems. However, since the onset of colder weather and wearing tights the skin immediately around my stoma has become very sore, and broken in places. I know exactly what is happening, the tights are dragging on the bag and the skin is getting irritated. I have the same problem with winter leggings. I have experimented with larger tights, lowering the waist band to below the stoma (very uncomfortable) but haven't found a solution.
If anyone else has this problem I would much appreciate knowing if there is a way to get round this.
Thank you.
Irene
