I asked about the Iry pump/iggration system as its electrical but have been told I may not be able to have it on the NHS as depends on area, anyone else come across this, im really worried now as without this or somthing simlar i will not be able to have my hand ops plus I'm really struggling now with the current sysyem i have. Anyone else come across this with getting this on prescription? Any help would be great.
Thanks for reading
Hi
Not knowing whether you can get this irrigation system on the NHS must be worrying for you. Is your GP looking into the availability for you?
I've had a look for previous posts on this topic but drawn a blank I'm afraid.
Let us know how you get on.

Hi Latchbrook
Thank you for your reply. Yes she is looking into it but said she had never heard if this system and not to hold out to much hope She said if cannot have it then I will be referred back to the clinic, out of area apprently again, when they recommended the exsisting system I have. Problem with that is it will take months which in turn means my hand ops cannot go ahead as i will only have the use of one hand for a couple months. Im very worried over it all ss have problems now due to very painful hands.
That's good that your GP is looking into this for you but, if you haven't already, I think you really need to impress upon her that if something suitable can't be arranged quickly then the operations on your hands won't be able to go ahead.

Hi Latchbrook
Yes i have mentioned that to her, Will hopefully hear soon. Asked her if I could appeal if turned down, was told there is no apoeal system, which i was, quite surprised about. Oh well will try not to jump the gun as such and just hope its ok.
I'll keep my fingers crossed for you
