I haven't got a date yet. But know I'm on the list.
So to get organised in advance. As a general rule of thumb, worst case scenario.
How long after op will I be able to drive and will I have to be close to a loo.
Thanks.
Hi FiveO and welcome to the stoma group.
I’m sorry I can’t personally help with any advice as I can’t ever have a reversal, but I’m bumping your post in the hope that others can reply.
I know we do have many members who have had a reversal, so will hopefully be along soon to help.

Hi FiveO
Sorry late reply I’m not here much these days. When I had my reversal I prepared for as much time as I needed.
I didn’t think of driving as the wound needed to heal. You plan on resting up and being close to the toilet for a while. It settles and you’ll be able to pop out and about. I can’t remember how long it took to have the confidence to go out alone
I went to the doctors for my dressing and waited for it to heal before driving
Good luck with your operation
Ann
