dear emsthtsme, im so sorry, honey, but dont blame yourself, do not feel guilty, this is not your fault, this is life and its happened, yes your partner is probabaly shocked too, but if he really cared, he would help support and guide you, but we all take bad news differently, give him a bit more time to think about whats happened, he might not know what to say or do, sit down and chat with him i know your lost right now, but dont try to deal with ths alone, jackie x

    Hello

I live in France, and would love to talk to anyone with same type of cancer as me.

I was diagnosed with Inflamartory Breast Cancer in June after 9 months of Hospital visits and exrays , was told i had mastitus and put on high dose of Cortisone was in constant pain and very uncomfortable, then developed swelling in my arm so was sent to yet another specialist and was diagnosed within 2 days.

I have had 2 doses of chemotherapy and am at the moment feeling well but am back for a further session next week, so will be back to to the side effects wich seem ro last a week.

Although my husband is being very supportive and is my rock, my children are all in England and cant come over frequently, I often feel like the only person in th world who is going through this.

I am sorry this so negative and am trying to be posative but some days it is very difficult.

    Hi Barbara

I have inflamatory breast cancer October 06 and like you they thought I had mastitus. It is a very rare breast cancer and difficult to diagnose. There is a breast cancer thread started by Heather and there are many people there going through different stages of treatment. If you look to your left and on the tags click on breast you will find the thread there.

Sorry your childeren are so far away from you and I am wishing you all the best with your treatment. If you have any questions just ask away on the breast thread.

    Take care

    Love Lorraine xxxxx

PeggySue, thank you for your kind words. I've just read your profile and I'm sorry for your loss, I feel bad for all my whining when my dad is still here. Life is so hard, and I don't understand why.

    Hi all.
Only been on here a couple of times and don't really know where to go. Feel a bit awkward just joining other peoples discussions, not like me to be shy normally! My dad has been for as pre- radiotherapy CT scan on Wednesday. I'm really worried, the journey to the hospital took us over an hour there, and then back again, and it was really uncomfortable and painful for dad. He has trouble sitting down. We have to make the same jouney there and back every day next week, and they've told us that his pain may increase for a while due to inflamation caused by the radiotherapy. Does anyone know how much the pain increases? Is it different for everyone? I'm worried that dad might not want to go come mid week if the pain gets really bad. Any advice anyone?

    Hi All

I am basically after some advice..I had a cancer "scare" earlier this year, I found a lump in my right breast, which turned out to be a cyst, but did find a "mass" in my left breat, I had a biopsy that want conclusive and had an operation to remove the mass. It was begnign. I have found another lump now near the scar from the operation, I went to the Dr's and she said "if you had noticed it a few months back I would agree with you that its just scar tissue, but with you only finding the lump in the past week I will send you for tests."

My question is "If they found nothing from my operation in March of this year, how likely is this now to be cancer or am I worrying about nothing???"

I am so scared at the moment, and I am sorry if I have joined when I shouldnt have (not being diagnosed as yet)

I wish you all the best and thank you

Hi Julie, You don't need to be diagnosed to join, the waiting is the worst as we tend to worry about worst case scenario. On the positive side, if it turns out to be breast cancer it will have been found really early and so will be very curable. There is a very strong thread called Breast Cancer, started by Heatheranne, I think there are at least 16 people on there regularly sharing with each other, all at various stages of treatment - why not pop on and post your thoughts, you will be welcomed and supported. all the best
