    Hi everyone

Diane - Spent a very relaxing two weeks in a cabin on the edge of Loch Lochie (near Fort William) about 14 years ago. Apat from the midgies...
As no 2 son has just passed his driving test, I thought I might buy him a voucher for a drive on a local skid pan I think you can also choose an extra option of a drive in a Ferarri. I'm thinking about that one, because I think that once he's driven that his little Clio may not stand a chance.

Hi and hugs to everyone else. Hope it's sunny where you all are too.

    Evening folks,

Just a wee quickie from me - am so knackered and am about to retire with a glass of vino to watch slumdog millionaire...Paul came home with it tonight, no idea from where!

Jean and Muir - just want to reiterate what the others have said - please do keep posting, it might be strange at first but you'll soon get the hang of it! Were all just a bunch of people in the same unfortunate boat and were always hear to share the good news and help through the hard times - there really is no other place like it. Its nice to share the nice snippets of other people's lives too.

Gayle - Only 3 more sleeps if im correct?! How on earth did the psychic get your details - a bit strange maybe? Have you looked into it?

Carrie - Hope you and B are still enjoying having your visitor! Yep your right, what a chicken I am - imagine running to the car coz a few large ducks were coming my way lol! I have a sister Gemma who's 27 - she and her hubby live close by and are a big help too - Gemma works full time so she hasnt had the daily input like me - she deals with things a bit different too - she stores everything up inside and is a lot quieter and doesent think tooo far ahead whereas I am the complete opposite - take charge, live with it 24/7 and talk all the time!

Diane - yes, you really are to blame for all the chippy talk - Although it was lemon chicken takeaway for me tonight! cant believe it was Dunsappie Loch you used to go - that's were we were! I always went there as a child and still love a wee drive there - lots of memories for me too!

Love to all my other Mac friends too xxxx

Morning - Happy Mother's Day to all you lovely mothers

Im looking for a quick bit advice please or am actually thinking out loud - my dad has right-sided weakness this morning, cant hold his fork, this hasnt happened since diagnosis. He's also fatigued beyond belief, can hardly stand up. I know he's been through the mill lately but this seems wrong. His dex has been reduced to 3mgs in the last week - the lowest ever which seems silly to me seing as he's got 2 clots in his lungs and legs. Sometimes you wonder what the hell goes on with the medics and you have to self-diagnose half the time. Do you think you can put the steroids up yourself? I think i should just phone NHS 24 acutally.

Ps Gayle - slumdog millionaire was brilliant - highly recommended!

    Hi Lesley

Hope you're still on-line. We are reducing B's dex gradually now he's at home, but I am watching out for headaches and I will up them again if I think he needs it.

If in doubt thought, I would probably ring the hospital your dad is under (Have they given you the number of the cancer ward, which is where we could ring at weekends?) first to see what they have to say.

    Hope he's ok

lesley-quick post my Dad has very bad weakness down his left side(oppositte side to his tumour)when he had his dex reduced his seizures got far worse his mood also and the weakness down his left side.He cant hold a fork he walks dragging his leg etc...It seems that an increase in Dex works for many people it definately worked for him but ,I would speak to a Doctor first9 can you ring the hospital and speak to whoever is on call(oncologist)Good luck petal everything seems like a battle!!!

To all the lovely ladies reading this post (a big welcome to all new members we all felt the same!!)
Happy happy mothers day,(not well at the moment but post again soon)

Lesley, If I were you I would defo call the NHS 24 better to be safe side it is probably a reaction to the dex being lowered, but get it checked out, glad you liked slumdog must try and see it.

feeling a little under the weather today, Martine passed on her cold to me, and Emma and me had a rather late night on the wine again............
