    Hi Karen and Jayne

The only thing I have to do today is have a driving lesson with the swearing instructor, believe it or not its a woman intructor, don't think ive ever met someone who swears so much! I'm sure you would never do that Karen!! Still, she's a good instructor, she wants perfection from me most of the time, hopefully this will help me to pass though.

I just can't get hold of the 'turn in the road', I end up getting totally confused. I think I just need to be a bit patient with myself, I try and drive sometimes like I've been driving for years.......

With Easter coming, its a busy time at the church, and we are getting offers for the house which I have been dealing with even though its my week off. Its unbelievable the price we have been advised to ask for the house by the estate agents, I almost feel guilty for the price, but the money will help us to do other things at the church which is old and needs some renewal.

This week has been owed to me for overtime and is not actually my official holiday time which I guess shows alot about me.

When I go back to work I will have to start to do some gardening in the church grounds, do any of you know anything about gardening as I don't have a clue??? I bought some loppers and shears last week but don't have a clue how to use them, is there a technique to pruning trees and hedges??

I don't think it's a sign of weakness to cry Jayne, quite the opposite I think. I still have alot of moments on the tube, I get to thinking about what mum was feeling when she was in hospital/hospice, like you were thinking, and it immediately sets me off.

Yesterday I was standing at a bus stop and as I said I had stopped thinking about mum for a few hours as I been visiting my friend, then suddenly I remembered and it was like someone had come up to me and punched me hard in the stomach, I actually doubled over slightly as if in pain.

Thats enough from me....good luck you two in your interviews and remember they will be lucky to have you on their teams, not the other way round!

    Liz xx

Hi Deano-- don't know a lot about gardening, but i think when pruning you just cut back to where the new shoots are coming through?? Have u got lots of trees and hedges to attend to??

Hope your driving lesson goes well,or will have gone well,by the time you read this.Couldn't be doing with the swearing myself,Its not necessary is it,and sounds even worse coming from a woman!!!

Still very bleak in this neck of the woods.Hope its brighter where you are.I'm having a bad "missing mum" day today, maybe cause its coming up to a holiday time, and we're going to be spending time with dad-and mum wont be there.I find it really hard sometimes.I'm waiting for a day when i actually dont think about mum for a few hours, because she's always in my thoughts-no matter what i'm doing and i find that hard to cope with.

Anyway- i have got a good gardening book,so if u want, you can tell me what type of trees/bushes youre dealing with and i'll have a look to see what it says.

    Take care,Marie.X

Hi Louise, Jayne, Karen, Liz, Amanda, Maire and everyone else,

Just a quick update, Jonathan was 12 yesterday and it's been such a busy week what with cards, pressies and then today I have waved him off to Austria for his school ski-ing trip!  Life will just not be the same next week without him, but my husband went out yesterday and also booked a week ski-ing for us!  So have been up most of the night packing for everyone, have had students in this week also so it's been very busy!

Nevertheless, although I have not had much time to post I have been reading all your messages and keeping up-to-date with you.

Jayne - I'm pleased to hear your knee is getting a little easier, good news about the next interview on Monday, I hope it goes well, it sounds ideal and just the job for you!  Is it full-time?  You'll have to let us know how you get on and also what happened with the last interview - I bet you get offered both!!  Have a good Easter and a good week and I'll see you when I come home.  Love Susan x

Karen - you do sound a little brighter, I hope you are and that your appt later today at the GP goes well.  It's good that she knows you and that she knew your mum at least she will know where you're coming from and so maybe in a good position to suggest some positive way forward.  I hope your half-term goes well and that you can enjoy easter in your new home.  Love Susan x

Liz - I'm sorry about your shopping experiences but not surprised, I could not go in M&S coffee shops and still find that a challenge.  A simple thing like shopping just has no attraction for me now and even though I could go with friends or my sister, it's just not the same anymore.  The important thing for you was to take some rest this week and sometime out of the everyday routine, I hope you managed to do that and despite some aspects of the week, I hope you are feeling more rested and ready to return to work.  look after yourself next week and try to take things easier - howhave the palpatations been this week?  Notice I'm asking before the driving lesson and not after!!  Take care, love Susan

Marie - I hope your week goes well, sounds as if it may all be a bit of a challenge!  Still I hear the weather is going to be good (especially in Norfolk!) so hopefully you can push everyone outside and enjoy some peace and quiet.  Have a good Easter, love Susan

Amanda- hope you're ok, I guess things are very difficult just now but I do want you to know we're thinking of you and sending you lots of love, Susan x

Louise - last but certainly not least.  How has your week been, you're nearly there now and after today I hope you can just flop and enjoy a well deserved rest!  This has been a difficult and long term and I hope that you cna just take a little step back to see  how well you have coped and waht a great job you have been doing.  You need to look after yourself now and just realx, the weather shuld be good so Benji will be pleased!  I'm being whisked away tonight so will not be back for just over a week - ready to collect Jonathan!  I think my husband things I'll be unbearable so he wants to get away!!  I will be thinking of you and hoping that you are ok.  If possible I'll even be checking up on you so don't think about not coming here and letting us know how you're getting on!  See you soon, lots of love (()) Susan xx

Just a quickie to say to Susan and Marie, (in case you read this before you go), have a great time.  I know Susan will be thinking about not having Jonathan around but he will be having his own fun, so you have a good time, its well deserved.

and Marie, I know you will be thinking about your mum, but she wont be far away, she will be watching everyone having a good time.  Sounds great, we always go to the same caravan every april and sept/oct, we love caravan holidays.

I hope you all have a wonderful break, speak soon, take care all. love jayne xxx
