Not too bad thanks- though i'm struggling to get enthusiastic over the Easter hols.My dad is really looking forward to going away with us,but i am dreading it!!! As much as i love him,and i do,a lot, he has fairly low tolerence levels as far as the kids are concerned.Boys are noisy, and quite often fairly stupid ! and i have no idea how poor dad is going to cope!!! Dad is a big kid himself ! and will get our boys quite excited, and then expect them to be able to switch off and calm down once he's had enough of the frolics!!! When they carry on,he gets ratty!!!  Dad planned this holiday whilst mum was still alive. He needed to know that there was something for him to look forward to i suppose, when she had gone.As it turns out, he actually has a very active social life- and is never lost for anything to do,so he needn't have worried about life being uneventful after mums death.Consequently,he needent have booked this holiday, and invited us on it- and i'll bet he'll wish he hadn't once we're all away!!!!

Youngest is off school today- dodgy tum and eldest finishes at lunchtime so i'm all out of "me" time from today!!!!

I would have got back last night, but phoned a friend-and we got nattering for 2 1/2 hours, which is fairly normal for us, so its a good job we dont call each other too often!!!!!!

When do you go away Marie, and where are you going?  I can well understand about your dad winding the kids up and then expecting them to switch off.  My husband does it with our two little ones.  (when we see them).  They end up jumping all over him, hanging on his neck etc, then he'll say 'ok, thats enough now' and expect them to stop just like that.  I have to get easter eggs today for them, so i will be going to pay them a visit sometime next week.  It was my mum that held this family together, we used to see everyone all the time, but now dont see anyone.  Its sad really.

Hi Louise-- just thought i'd post a quick line for you for when you get home after work. With it being the Easter hols i guess the kids will bring in little pressies for you will they?? Daffs, and Easter eggs?? i think its lovely that the kids show their appreciation and if your school does engage in this bringing in presents for the teachers i bet you get lost. i should imagine that you are a very popular teacher. see you soon,Marie XXXX
